Inverloch
Jazz Festival
March 2005
This enjoyable run was attended by members from the various groups within
the Chev Club including the main Chev Group, Camaro / Firebird and the
Corvette Group.
The groups met at McDonald’s carpark in Mulgrave, from there meeting
up with more at a second meeting point, the Settlement Hotel in Cranbourne,
and then once again at the Moe Hotel – Moe, for the early morning
cruise to Inverloch. The Mulgrave and Cranbourne groups joined together
and met up with the Moe group at the Inverloch Football oval as planned
by 9.30 am.
A
total of 24 cars, covering a range of our car types, Corvettes, Camaros,
a Chevy Rod, Pontiacs and a ’28, from the 3 groups participated
in the Parade through Main Street, much to the delight of the local residents
and the weekend visitors for the Jazz Festival.
Many lined the Parade route, surrounding streets and apartment balconies
to wave and cheer as the cars paraded before them.
Following the Parade, Geoff and Min Persson hosted a fantastic BBQ lunch
at their home with all attending having a pleasant afternoon.
Thanks
to all who were able to come along and welcome to the Gippsland –
Latrobe
Valley group who joined in on this Saturday morning run.
Our special thanks go to the Persson family for their hospitality and
fantastic lunchtime offering.
Also our best wishes go to Crissie, who celebrated her 18th birthday
on the day!
