Membership renewal

This isn’t exactly a ‘bug’ but I took advantage of the renewal reminder and paid via website. The confirmation email I received is welcoming me as a new member and explaining how my membership has to be approved by committee. Wished me a successful application and hopes to meet me in person in the near future.
Would it be a good idea to have a confirmation that just says thanks for renewing your membership for existing members?

wasn’t aware that that was the advice being sent, so it is a bug that we will fix.
You’re right what you should have got was a thanks for renewing email.
