    Finally tracked down a Powermaster 9200 which is a gear reduction starter which has been upgraded for use on carby motors(previously EFI only)
    I emailed them twice to confirm this is 100% made in the USA as my C10 was rapidly becoming more Asian/Mexican than American!
    This has scared my old starter into behaving itself but at least now I have a new one on hand should it start acting tired again.

    Tried them AC delco gear reduction $235 But made in china under license to Ac delco specifications!
    Guess I will pay through the nose and go jeg’s or summit racing.
