History.
History prior to resto - Car was imported to Sydney Australia in 1969,
it
has had approx 6 Owners and had a very hard life. Teh Car was sold
to a Victorian buyer in about 1992.
Car was Purchased by me from a hack in Country victoria, running and
generally OK appearance but it was in a sad state underneath and in
the hidden areas. Quite sad really but quite common!
Original Factory Colour : code Q - Verdoro Green,
Interior: Parchment, with Black top.
Correct Code engine remains in the car ; re-built.
Despite the Cars hard life it retained many of the original items
which
are so often missing, or the hard to source parts like CONVERTIBLE
BODY WEIGHTS!- Fortunately this car had them, and most other Standard
Factory items.
After approx 3 years resto [colour change was essential to enjoy driving
it] the car was re-launched in around February 2003.
The Car has picked up a few Trophies since re-born,
that being
best in Class at the Porsche CarClub sponsored Plenty Valley festival
April 2003, and three awards at the Pontiac Car Club Nationals Easter
2003 they being Best in Class, Show n Shine Peoples Choice and BEST
PONTIAC of the NATIONALS 2003.
The Car has a touch of celebrity status too, in that
it is the featured
car in the current SHANNONS Car Insurance T.V. add "do you have
a passion for Pontiacs..."
