History: I am second owner. This car was purchased new in Montreal, Canada in 1963 and brought to Sweden in 1964. The same owners moved to Sydney in 1969 and brought the car with them. Not realizing the issues with LHD and spare parts availability they were happy to sell the car to their daughter’s ex boy friend (yours truly) for $750 in 1971.
I enjoyed the car LHD (registered in ACT) until 1986 when it was converted to RHD with the help of good friends. It was totally original at that point, but after RHD conversion I felt that the originality was lost anyhow, so might as well make a few improvements. 1964 Chevy II spindles to accommodate HQ Holden power disc brakes (which also brought with it a change to 5 stud HQ/Chev bolt pattern) and a 350 ci V8 are the main changes, however the car still looks completely original in appearance.
The car has been repainted and had a new roof and some interior upholstery (by Chris O’Shea).
