SUMMARY:Swanpool Motor Festival
DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately this clashes with the Tyabb Air Show which I am attending so there wont be an official convoy this year. However if you intend on going to Swanpool  give me a call and I can put  you in  touch with others who are attending. Keith 0421287350. \nCommencing at 8am  the Festival is a community event\, with display vehicles\, swap meet and market stalls\, run by locals to raise funds to upkeep the Swanpool Oval and amenities. The Festival is held on the Swanpool Oval\, 2426 Midland Highway\, Swanpool which is situated between Mansfield and Benalla. \nDisplay vehicles are parked on the oval with an entry fee of $10 (including two adults) and must remain parked on the oval until 2pm when a prize pool (last year nearly $8000) will be handed out to the winners.  Vehicles are not judged as a show and shine event.  The first winner will be drawn from a box (of entry forms) who will then come up and draw his or her prize from another box (containing prizes).  That winner will then draw the next winner from the box and it will continue until all prizes have been distributed.  If a winner is drawn out and is not still in attendance then another draw will take place.  This ensures that all prizes are given away on the day and that every entrant has the same chance to win and the same chance to win the major prizes.  \nLast year’s Festival saw a record of just under $8000 in prizes divided into a minimum of $100 or more\, handed out to the 23 winning entrants.  All prizes are donated by local businesses located in Benalla\, Mansfield and Swanpool.  2024 will also see another innovation in the prize system with one of the prizes being $500 IN CASH.   \nEntry to the event for display vehicles which includes\, cars\, bikes\, trucks\, buses\, tractors\, race cars\, boats and anything with an engine is via Swanpool-Lima Road at the southern end of the oval off the Midland Highway. \nThe major sponsors for the event are Vacuum Truck Supplies\, Martins Garage\, High Country Parts both located in Mansfield and Benalla Motorcycles & Power Equipment.  Our other sponsors are Delatite Mowers and Chainsaws\, Paul’s Property Maintenance\, Tyrepower Mansfield\,  K & M 4×4 Mansfield and Elders Real Estate Mansfield. \nThe Festival will have live music performed by local band “Rattler” along with Food\, Drinks and Coffee vans on site.  \nFor further details   swanpoolmotorfestival.com.au or  facebook page “Swanpool Motor Festival”  \n
