Signpost – Edition 1
Welcome to our page dedicated to the 44th National Chevrolet Festival in October 2020. We hope you find the info informative and answers your questions at this early stage.
As we proceed towards the festival the SIGNPOST will be updated (note that we kick off with SIGNPOST ONE now) with more information on the actual weekend program to follow.
Initial accommodation bookings have surged and we can no doubt thank S.A. for that as they ran an excellent 43rd Festival. Yarrawonga Holiday Park has all villas (cabins) now booked so there is only Caravan or camping sites available.
- The Mulwala Resort has 60 Motel rooms available – 5744 1245
- Capricorn Motor Inn (next door) has 12 rooms available – 5744 3813
REMEMBER: TO OBTAIN THE DISCOUNT, YOU MUST SAY IT IS FOR THE 44th CHEVROLET FESTIVAL!
We will update this list before JAN 1ST 2020.
A constant will be that all registrations will be at the Holiday Park but to avoid traffic congestion, runs will be from the Mulwala Resort also.
If you send your contact details to chevfest2020@chevcarclubvic.org.au we can keep you informed as we move closer to the event.
Website Launch!
After an extremely complex and lengthy rebuild of the Chevrolet Car Club’s website, we are finally at a place to be able to launch the site!
Some things are still having final touches applied, however these should not stop our members from experiencing all that our new site has to offer. There were a number of pages from the old website that have been retired, however, in place of these we have some brand new functionality including the below new and improved areas:
- Electronic Bow-tie issues, including past archive (which will grow as we obtain more electronic copies)
- A more detailed Events Calendar with the ability to download/print a single month’s worth of events or even download to your own personal calendar
- A complete digital classifieds area including ad management, multiple photos and auto-expiry (you can renew your ad indefinitely, but you will be prompted every 30 days to renew)
- Our own forum – helpful for discussions, technical hints and tips and showing us your pride and joy!
- A members area with the ability to renew your membership electronically through Paypal. This also has an archive of your invoices and membership information that you can edit.
- An updated gallery with larger images and easier navigation
Please note: If you are an “Applicant” member, there are certain pages that will not be available until you become a “Financial” member. This change occurs after the Committee Meeting on the last Wednesday of each month where all applicants are review and approved. You will be notified via email upon this change also.
Additional functionality and changes/fixes will occur over the coming months to ensure that the new site is at it’s full potential. Please report any bugs to bugs@chevcarclubvic.org.au and make sure you let us know what you were trying to do, what you were expecting to happen and what actually happened.
Have fun!
