Queenscliff Rod Run

Our organizer for this run (Ron Baker) is suffering from an old war wound which makes it hard for him to get around, so he won’t be attending this year.

But don’t let that stop you the details are still the same (see below) we just won’t have Ron leading the charge, so feel free to turn up and car pool with whoever else turns up.

That time of year when a few of us get together and make the journey to Queenscliff for the annual Rod Run. As most of you know, it is more than hot rods. There are many classics and cars of interest. A few of us have been getting together for years and going in daily drives to this event. We would like to extend the invitation to others if they would like to join us? We are meeting at Bunnings Frankston to depart at 8:00 in our daily drives. We will be carpooling from there to Sorento to catch the ferry accross. The ferry leaves at 9:00. The cost is the parking which we share with riders and the cost of the ferry is $26 return. The joy of doing it this way is that it is very relaxing and dont have to worry about parking cars. It is a very small walk to the main car area. Great day to look at the beautiful autos and trucks. We also take the time for a great pub meal and a couple of brews. If you want a good day and very inexpensive, I highly recommend this day out. A phone call to talk about it is welcome.
