Shannons 38th National Chevrolet Festival

The Shannons 2014 National Chevrolet Festival will be a celebration for all enthusiasts and devotees of all Chevrolet vehicles.

Friday, 24th October to Sunday, 26th October 2014

Cruising and car displays in idyllic beach side locations, beautiful ocean vistas and amazing coastal roads… accompanied by the extensive facilities and amenities of Victoria’s second largest city will makethe Shannons 38th National Chevrolet Festival one to remember. A feature will be the celebration of the 60th anniversaries, good times and camaraderie with great cars in the best coastal environs, the Shannons 38th National Chevrolet Festival will be an event not to miss!

Overview

The historic port city of Geelong will be the hub of the 38th NATIONAL CHEVROLET FESTIVAL staged by the Chevrolet Car Club Of Victoria Inc. and be a celebration for all enthusiasts and devotees of Chevrolet vehicles.

Entries are open to members of all Chevrolet clubs Australia-wide.

The weekend will encompass the best this world-famous region has to offer, all located within a radius of one hour’s drive (30kms) from the Geelong’s CBD;

  • The Bellarine Peninsula’s historic fishing towns and villages
  • The Surf Coast
  • The Great Ocean Road

Cruising and car displays in idyllic beach side locations, beautiful ocean vistas and amazing coastal roads… accompanied by the extensive facilities and amenities of Victoria’s second largest city will make the 38th NATIONAL CHEVROLET FESTIVAL one to remember.

A feature will be the celebration of the 60th anniversaries of; one of Chevrolet’s most-loved models, the 1955 Chevrolet, and, release of one of the world’s greatest engines – the small block Chevrolet V8.

Good times and camaraderie with great cars in the best coastal environs, the 38th NATIONAL CHEVROLET FESTIVAL will be something not to miss.

Entrants will receive a bottle of commemorative port wine and plaque included in their entry fee. Additional commemorative items are available at extra cost.

Special Celebration Theme

The event will have a special anniversary theme celebrating one of Chevrolet’s most famous series of cars, and the greatest mass produced V8 the world has ever seen.

The 1955 model year Chevrolets were released late 1954 and hence celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2014. Several different  special displays are under evaluation in high profile areas on Geelong’s waterfront.

Emergency Workshop Facilities & Repairs

Saturday morning 9am to 12pm – Winter & Taylor Holden 03 5222 1811

Arrangements have been made with the local Holden dealer for dedicated access to their mechanics and workshop for emergency repairs for cars which may have experienced unplanned difficulties en-route.

Normal labour costs and parts charges apply. Please note that the range of services is limited to emergency items which inhibit the vehicle’s reliability; not minor adjustments or tuning etc.

Services will be provided on a first-booked  basis.

Winter& Taylor Holden. Mercer Street, Geelong city, two blocks from CBD. Pre-book via 5222 1811    www.wth.com.au Bookings must be made by 5pm Friday afternoon or by 9.15am on Saturday morning.

The city has many other mechanical repair or specialist workshops. These arrangements must be made personally depending on your requirement.
